b) the distance x

Suppose that the B.B passes through the ice cube instead of remaining in it .

c) State whether the time required for the ice cube to reach the floor from the edge of the stool would now be greater , less , or the same . Justify your answer.

d) State whether the distance x for the ice cube would now be greater , less , or the same . Justify your answer.

A laser is shot with an initial speed of 75 m/s at a launch angle of 35 degrees from the horizontal towards and energy shield 250 m away . The height of the shield is 40 m . Assume that the effects due to air are negligible .

a) How long after the laser is launched does it arrive at the shield ?

b) Does the laser strike the shield ? If it does , how high up does it strike the shield ? If it misses , doe sit fall short or does it pass over the shield ?

c) Assume only the launch angle may be varied , determine what launch angles will allow the laser to just clear the top of the energy shield ?
