\int \frac{x^{2}+A}{x^{4}+kx^{2}+A^{2}}dx, A>0  or  \int \frac{x^{2}-A}{x^{4}+kx^{2}+A^{2}}dx, A<0

Where k is a real number (positive, negative or zero)

(i) Divide the numerator and denominator by x2

(ii) For x2 + A in the numerator put x - A/x =t as substitution . And for x2 - A in the numerator, put x + A/x = t

When only even powers of x occur in the numerator as well as the denominator, substitute x^{2}=y to make partial fractions. Once the partial fractions are formed substitute back y=x^{2} and integrate.
