Equation of MotionSome engineering students are challenged to design a cotainer allowing them to drop an egg from a 10.0 m high dormitary roof without the egg breaking. They first wanted to dertermine that indeed without a container the egg will break if dropped. Just as they drop of the egg student carrying a load of laundry comes out of the door of the dormitary 3m away from the drop zone. The top of the pile of the laundry is 1.00m above the ground. The student is walking 1.50 m/s. A) will this student mess up the plan to see if the egg breaks? (i.e. will the egg fall in the laundry basket and not break assume basket and student are in the same place rather than the basket being held out a distance in front of the student? If not how far away will the egg land from the student? B) After that trial the students decided to try again. This time right as they drop the egg another student cames out of the same door with a load of laundry( whos top of the pile is again 1.00 above the group). This student is walking at 1.25/s. 0.5 seconds after the egg is dropped (and he exits the building) the student carrying laundry notices what has happened and decides to try to insure the egg falls in the basket 1) Does the student need to change his velocity? If so. 2) Find the acceleration?

Projectile MotionIn the egg toss two people toss araw egg back and forth as they move farther apart. If the force required to break the eggs shell is about 5N and the mass of the egg is 50g, estimate the maximum separation distance for the egg throwers. Make whatever reaonable assumptions you need about the launch angle and hand movement.

Spring ForceA favorite piece of exercise equipment consists of various springs. In one exercise a person pulls a handle grip attached to the free end of a spring to 0.80m from the unstrained position. The other end of the spring ( spring constant is 53 N/m) is held in place by the equipment frame. What is the magnitude of the force that is applied to the handle grip?
